So yesterday, before I went to work, I went over to the Cosplay Picnic Gathering over at McKinley Park. The turnout was fewer than expected for me, but we still had a blast. I was working the BBQ making hambugers, and let me tell you: that fire was hot all the way through once the burgers started coming in. However, no one ate my potato salad and I think I left it there when I left...
We also went to the pond to feed the ducks, and I took a couple of pictures at the Rose Garden. Unfortunately, those didn't come out as well...stupid lighting.
They say the next gathering is supposed to be Sept. 1 @ the California State Fair, but odds are I will only get Sunday, Sept. 2, off for Sac-Con, so I won't be able to make it to that.
But I had a lot of fun, and I hope we get to do that more often outside of the cons.
